The online catalogue of the video archive will list list all the artists' work and the video documentations included in it. It will allow research using different criteria, as well as access to a preview of the selected video in streaming.

The Video Archive includes over 4500 videos classified in two categories: works by artists and video documentations.

In the section of the works by artists there are more than 4000 titles, starting from the first video experimentations in the ’70 until the contemporary productions of the last generation.

The section of video documentations includes over 500 films of exhibitions, conferences, performances and international art events.

The materials are promoted through the organization of exhibitions and events, the presentation of the works during reviews and also through a close relationship with operators from inside the art world that are able, by appointment, to carry out specific research in the archive for the organization of exhibitions, events and competitions.

Given their importance, the video materials are used as teaching support during university courses, masters, conferences and seminars.

In 2006, the Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali acknowledged the materials of the Video Archive as nationally relevant including Careof in the Historical Archives.

The Video Archive, organized by Careof within DOCVA Documentation Center for Visual Arts, is also supported by Artegiovane Milano and the Camera di Commercio di Milano.
