Since 1987 Careof performs a service of promotion and divulgation of contemporary art directed both at a specialized and lay public. It collects papers, catalogues, art publications, magazines and relevant thesis available for consultation by the public at DOCVA Documentation Center for Visual Arts, organized in collaboration with Viafarini [www.docva.org]

DOCVA includes the specialized library that comprises more than 15000 volumes that vary from monographs to catalogues, papers and magazines; the Video Archive with more than 4500 works by artists and documentation of art events; the Portfolio Archive with the documentation of over 2600 Italian artists; the ArtBox data bank that contains information regarding opportunities such as art competitions, scholarships and organizations for artists and insiders.

 

Careof offers a service for the consultation of artists’ portfolios through personal meetings with the curator.
